What’s the best way to get to market? Sometimes the buyer is already known to the seller; other times the net has to be cast very wide. I have an extensive network of known buyers, professionals and business intermediaries that help me identify potential buyers of a business, depending on the preferred approach and client need. What happens if the first or immediate choice of buyer doesn’t eventuate? More than just “I know someone who is in the market to buy”.
I seek to match my approach to your business and situation. This includes how a process is staged and alternative options as to how my fee is structured. I am willing to collaborate with internal and / or external personnel and adapt my approach accordingly, where it is in the interests of a transaction. It’s not my way or the highway.

However, when dealing with buyers (especially in direct negotiations) I will always advocate for your position and preferred option, whatever that might be. This is not a race to the bottom.

One of my goals is to make sure all of the parties feel comfortable that they are getting what they need to get the deal done. I therefore believe transparency in approach is essential. I won’t aim to deliberately keep the parties apart or be deliberately difficult to deal with.
Like you I am my own boss, so I do not have to defer to others (or take unnecessary time) to make decisions that might affect our relationship and any transaction.
I make myself available to my clients and you will always know who you are dealing with. Once appointed to a transaction you receive my full commitment and priority, as opposed to dealing with a team where the principal gets distracted by other (more important?) opportunities.

Should the nature of the transaction change – for example from a 100% sale to a partial sale, I have the ability (and willingness) to adapt to the transaction if that is in the best interests of the client. Again it is not about my outcome over yours.
